UNICERA WILL BRING TOGETHER GLOBAL BRANDS AND PROFESSIONALS

Dear Readers,

The new issue of our magazine, which has been published online for a while, was published simultaneously with the opening of UNICERA Istanbul Ceramics, Bathroom, Kitchen Fair, the most important event of our industry.

UNICERA International Fuarcilik Inc. established within TSF, started its activities in 2021 and we held our first fair in 2022. The fair, which we have given an identity to meet today's needs, will take the pulse of the ceramics industry on November 4-8 this year. UNICERA Istanbul, Turkiye's largest and the world's second largest fair in its field, brought together nearly 90 thousand visitors from 123 countries with 1200 brands in an area of 120 thousand square meters last year. This year, it will bring together global brands and professionals.

The Turkish ceramic industry has an important role on a global scale. Sector exports were 1.5 billion dollars in 2023, and we target approximately 2 billion dollars for 2024. In line with these goals, we are working to ensure that Turkish ceramics gain a permanent place in the international market. Turkish brands participating in the CERSAIE Fair, which was held before UNICERA, made us all proud by leaving their mark on the fair in Italy and demonstrated the reputation of Turkish ceramics in the world; showed its strength in sustainability, innovation and design.

Design and art are an integral part of the ceramics industry. We are happy to support the International Ceramics Biennial Bursa, organized for the 2nd time this year by the Turkish Ceramics Society, one of the associations under the umbrella of our Federation. TSD, which has no income other than membership fees and carries out its activities with the support of sponsors, handled a major art event such as the Biennial with its artistic experience and know-how. We congratulate the artist Omer Gorkem, who was deemed worthy of the Turkish Ceramics Federation Award in the international main exhibition of the Biennial with the theme "Quo Vadis / Where Are You Going”.

The last association established in the field of ceramics was the Porcelain Tableware Producers Association (PORSES). The leading names of the industry operating in the field of ceramic tableware and ornaments production came together under the roof of PORSES. Yuksel Kaya from Kutahya Porselen assumed the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the Association. PORSES aims to be an important platform that will direct the sector with 7 member companies and contribute to the development of Turkiye's porcelain industry. They first held their temporary Board of Directors meeting on September 5, and they plan.

Our ancestors said it so well, "Wherever there is unity, there is harmony"... Being one, being together, working together is an important motto for our industry. Our Federation and all of the associations under its umbrella were established to use the power arising from unity for the benefit of the sector and our country.

Hoping to carry Turkiye and the ceramics industry to a better future in unity and solidarity…
