Global warming affects our seas as well as every aspect of our lives. Today, the increasing world population and the limited world resources; This causes concepts such as sustainability and resilience to stand out as key concepts.
It should not be ignored that climate change may affect biodiversity in our country's seas and that different problems may be encountered on almost every coast. Canakkale is an important transit point to the Aegean and Black Seas for fish and other marine creatures and one of the important centers of our country in the fish industry.
When different mythologies are examined; fish, which symbolizes the power of water in the West, is known as the symbol of happiness, abundance, abundance and productivity in the East. In the Altai Epic of Creation, it is written that in the creation of the earth, first the earth and then the sky were created, and then three fish were created to ensure the balance of the world and that these fish supported the earth from below and prevented it from wandering. In the epic, it is written that the universe is likened to a large pool covered with water, and that the world where people live and establish their homes is likened to a fish in this pool, and the homeland is symbolized by the depiction of a fish.
Canakkale is an important city known for its history, location, fish industry, ceramic works that have a special place in art history, and fish-themed ceramics.
In this context, by touching life; aiming to raise awareness in society on issues such as marine pollution, consumer culture and global warming; In addition, the Fish, which is frequently encountered in mythology and art history and aims to draw attention to the traditional Çanakkale Ceramics, was presented in this ceramic exhibition with the theme of "Life- Fish- Abundance" by 65 ceramic artists who are members of the Ceramic Art, Education and Exchange Association, using different forms and their own unique artistic styles suitable for this theme. They interpreted it with their expressions and presented it to the audience.
