HANTERRA CERAMICS COMPETITION 2021 AWARDS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

The awards of the hanterra ceramics competition, which was held for the first time this year by hanterra, found their owners. To emphasise the importance of originality and quality in the design and production of functional handmade ceramics, this year’s subject matter was mug cup.

The competition, which was open to all ceramicists residing in Turkey, has been organized under the sponsorship of Sibelco, Colorobbia Art and Mars Ceramic Kilns.


This year’s jury members are Esra Carus (Turkey), Tuba Önder Demircioğlu (Turkey), Prof. N. Lerzan Özer (Turkey), Froukje van Baren (Netherlands) and Guido Bitossi (Italy). The works have been assessed by the jury according to the originality of the design, creativity and the technical qualities of the production and the finish.

As a result of the evaluation, success award has been given to Yasemin Uğurlu Çetindemir, honourable mentions are Mediha Alkan, Enes Aksoy , Aysun Özmen. Overall 23 works of 21 participants were deemed worthy to be exhibited. The other exhibited participants are as follows: Emrah Anık, Hasan Alp Ateş, Sercan Baykuş, Gizem Berger, Muhsin Berkay Dede, Yücel Dinçer, Tayfun Duran, Mehmet Eren Eskikan, Itır İyier Güvenç, Afife Öndin Aktan, Aylin Önen, Türkan Özcan, Sibel Özgüney, Fulya Özsan Hançerli, Banu Öztürk, Márcio Pereira, Hazal Şerifoğlu Çetin. The award ceremony, took place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 18:00 at D'art Gallery.
